Gulfstream is the best-known name in private jets. Its long, sleek jets with big oval windows are among the most recognisable business jets in the world. In this guide we explain every Gulfstream in its 2026 line-up, from the ultra-long-range G800 to the new G300, with the same facts for each: range, speed, cabin size, seats, engines, cockpit and what it is best for.
Quick answer: Gulfstream lists six jets. The G800 flies furthest (8,200 nm) and the G700 has the biggest cabin (56 ft 11 in, up to five living areas); both can reach Mach 0.935. The G600 and G500 are large-cabin jets for 6,600 and 5,300 nm. The new G400 and G300 are still in flight testing.

Gulfstream: The Company in Brief
According to Wikipedia, Gulfstream began as Grumman’s civil aircraft unit, whose first product, the twin-turboprop Gulfstream I, was developed at Bethpage, New York, in 1958. Today the company is based in Savannah, Georgia, and has more than 19,000 employees. General Dynamics bought Gulfstream in 1999.
Gulfstream jets are known for long range. Wikipedia notes that a G650ER set a business jet distance record of 8,379 nm from Singapore to Tucson in April 2019, and that in June 2026 a G800 flew 8,303 nm from Melbourne to Moline, Illinois.

1. Gulfstream G800: The Longest Range
The G800 has the longest range of any Gulfstream: 8,200 nm at Mach 0.85, or 7,000 nm at a faster Mach 0.90. That is enough for nonstop flights such as New York to Hong Kong or Los Angeles to Sydney. It shares its 103 ft wingspan, engines and cockpit with the G700 but has a shorter cabin, trading space for range. Wikipedia says the G800 was unveiled on 4 October 2021, first flew on 28 June 2022, was certified by the FAA and EASA in April 2025 and was first delivered in late August 2025.

The cabin is 8 ft 2 in wide and 6 ft 3 in tall, the same cross-section as the G700, and can be split into up to four living areas with beds for up to 10. At 41,000 ft the cabin is pressurised to just 2,840 ft, which makes long flights less tiring. Best for: owners who need the longest nonstop range Gulfstream offers.
2. Gulfstream G700: The Biggest Cabin
The G700 is Gulfstream’s flagship for space. Its cabin is 56 ft 11 in (17.35 m) long without the baggage area, with up to five living areas, beds for up to 13 and 20 of Gulfstream’s large oval windows. It flies 7,750 nm at Mach 0.85. Wikipedia says it was announced in October 2019, first flew on 14 February 2020, was certified by the FAA on 29 March 2024 and was first delivered on 23 April 2024.

Cabin and cockpit
Gulfstream lists a forward “Ultragalley” with a separate crew area, lavatories at both ends and an optional Grand Suite with a shower at the back. Ka-band Wi-Fi is available. Pilots fly it from the Symmetry flight deck, with active control side-sticks, touch screens, a Combined Vision System shown on dual head-up displays and a Predictive Landing Performance System that warns of a risky landing before touchdown. Best for: the biggest, most comfortable cabin Gulfstream builds.
3. Gulfstream G600: Long Range in a Smaller Package
The G600 flies 6,600 nm, enough for London to Singapore or New York to Dubai, with up to 19 seats and up to four living areas. Its cabin is narrower than the G700 and G800 (7 ft 7 in wide) but still 45 ft 2 in long, with 14 oval windows.

The G600 has the same Symmetry flight deck as the bigger jets, with ten touch screens and side-sticks, plus an Enhanced Flight Vision System. The galley can sit at the front or the back. Best for: intercontinental trips with a large group, for less than a G700.

4. Gulfstream G500: The Shortest Large-Cabin Gulfstream
The G500 shares the G600’s cabin width and cockpit but is shorter, with a 41 ft 6 in cabin, up to three living areas and 5,300 nm of range, enough for New York to Moscow or Paris to Beijing. It climbs straight to an initial cruise altitude of 43,000 ft.

Best for: buyers who want a modern large-cabin Gulfstream for flights of up to about 11 hours.
5. Gulfstream G400: The Newest Large-Cabin Jet (in Testing)
The G400 is a smaller large-cabin jet: up to 12 passengers, a 36 ft 4 in cabin and 4,200 nm of range. Wikipedia says Gulfstream introduced it on 4 October 2021, alongside the G800. Aviation Week reported in October 2026 that it first flew in August 2024 and was originally due for delivery in 2026, but that Gulfstream would not predict a certification date, citing stricter rules on software validation. One test G400 set a Miami city-pair speed record at an average of Mach 0.89.
| G400 (preliminary) | Figure |

Gulfstream says the G400 will be 29% more fuel-efficient than the older G450 on a 3,000 nm trip, and its cabin air will be cleaned with plasma ionisation. Best for: transatlantic trips in a wide Gulfstream cabin, once it is certified.
6. Gulfstream G300: The Super-Midsize Newcomer (in Testing)
The G300 takes Gulfstream into the super-midsize class: up to 10 passengers, a 27 ft 7 in cabin and 3,600 nm of range at Mach 0.80. It is built with Israel Aerospace Industries; Aviation Week says a G300 test aircraft is being assembled by IAI in Tel Aviv and that first deliveries are provisionally due from 2028. It uses Gulfstream’s new Harmony flight deck with six touch screens.

| G300 (preliminary) | Figure |
|---|---|
